Ginseng: Why I love it and How I use It

Ginseng has long been revered as one of the great adaptogenic herbs — a plant that helps the body adapt to stress, restore vitality, and maintain balance. Its use stretches back thousands of years, especially within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Ayurvedic practices, where it is often described as a tonic for life force itself.

I get mine from HAPPY HERB online, only because I love the company and quality of their products.

In TCM
Ginseng is classified as a Chi tonic — a herb that strengthens and replenishes the body’s vital energy. It is often prescribed for fatigue, weakness, poor appetite, or recovery after illness. Within TCM, Ginseng replenishes both Yin and Yang, but is most famous for boosting Yang Qi, the warming, activating energy that fuels resilience and stamina. It supports the Spleen (digestion and assimilation), Lung (breath and vitality), and Heart (spirit and clarity). For many, it is seen as the perfect coffee replacement — offering energy without overstimulating the system.

In Ayurveda
In India, Ginseng became associated with herbs such as Ashwagandha (often called “Indian Ginseng” for its similar adaptogenic effects). Both are seen as Rasayanas — rejuvenating herbs that restore strength, support reproductive energy, and calm the nervous system. Ginseng’s warming, stimulating quality is said to increase Ojas (vital essence), heightening mental clarity and physical vitality.

Interaction with the Womb & Uterus
Across both traditions, Ginseng is recognised for its ability to nourish reproductive energy:

  • In TCM, it supports Kidney Jing (essence) and Spleen Qi, both foundational for healthy menstrual cycles, fertility, and postnatal recovery. It is often included in formulas for women who feel depleted after childbirth or who experience irregular or weak cycles due to fatigue or stress. In clinic, I may mention it as a supportive herb for women whose hormonal cycles leave them feeling exhausted or depleted.

  • In Ayurveda, its Rasayana quality is linked to rejuvenating the reproductive tissues (Shukra Dhatu), balancing energy during hormonal changes, and supporting vitality in women.

  • Modern research also suggests that Ginseng may influence blood flow and hormone balance, helping regulate uterine function, ease fatigue associated with menstrual cycles, and support libido.

Why It Shows Up in Wellbeing
Ginseng tends to emerge when the body or spirit is overstretched. It often appears as support in times of:

  • Burnout, fatigue, or overwork

  • A need for sharper focus, memory, or mental clarity

  • Recovery from illness, surgery, childbirth, or emotional depletion

  • Supporting vitality through ageing, hormonal changes, and major life transitions

The Essence of Ginseng
At its core, Ginseng is a reminder that life energy can be cultivated and replenished. It doesn’t override the body — it gently awakens its capacity to adapt, balance, and return to its natural rhythm.

How I Personally Use Ginseng as a 40-Year-Old Working Mother

For me, Ginseng has become one of those quiet supports I can lean on when life is full. A few of the ways I use it:

  • Long drives to Sydney – I find it perfect for staying alert on the highway without the highs and lows of coffee or chocolate.

  • Sport or the gym – When I need to pull myself together and get moving in the afternoon, it gives me the steady energy to show up fully.

  • As a Projector – Ginseng feels like the energy I’m often missing. I can carry it around in a bottle and sip when I need a lift.

  • Socialising after 9pm (mum life!) – A little Ginseng before heading out the door gives me the warmth and stamina to enjoy myself without reaching for that second wine or margarita.

Liposomal Vitamin C: Why I love it and How It Is Used in Clinic

Liposomal Vitamin C in Kinesiology

In clinic, Liposomal Vitamin C often shows up when your system is calling for extra cellular resilience and repair. It supports the body on both a physical and energetic level, helping you rebuild strength when stress, illness, or toxins have depleted your reserves.

It may appear in balances when:

  • Your immune system is under pressure from chronic illness, frequent colds, or viral exposure.

  • You’re in need of deep tissue repair, such as after surgery, injury, or ongoing inflammation.

  • Your body is undergoing detoxification—Vitamin C helps neutralise free radicals and buffer the oxidative stress that comes with releasing toxins.

  • You’re working through emotional depletion, where the body feels run down from prolonged stress or “battle fatigue.”

  • The body is needing to re-establish fat metabolism and regulate how it uses energy. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Vitamin C also supports the Spleen meridian, helping balance sugar use and reduce cravings.

  • Physically, your system is calling for support to recover from adrenal stress and rebuild Kidney meridian chi stores, restoring deep vitality and long-term energy reserves.

  • You need help balancing cortisol rhythms—Vitamin C buffers excess cortisol, helping reset the body’s natural day–night cycle. When high cortisol blocks melatonin receptors and disrupts sleep, it gently pulls the system back into alignment with its circadian rhythm.

Think of it as a protective shield and cellular repair kit, giving your body what it needs to restore balance and vitality.

7 Unique Benefits of Liposomal Vitamin C

  1. Immune Defence & Recovery
Strengthens immune response, shortens recovery time from illness, and enhances resilience against infection.

  2. Collagen Production & Skin Health
Essential for collagen synthesis, supporting strong connective tissue, wound healing, and healthy skin.

  3. Enhanced Detoxification
Neutralises free radicals and reduces oxidative stress, helping the body safely manage detox processes.

  4. Gentle on Digestion
Liposomal delivery avoids the stomach irritation and loose bowels sometimes caused by high-dose regular Vitamin C.

  5. Adrenal & Kidney Meridian Support
Helps the body recover from adrenal stress while rebuilding Kidney chi stores, strengthening resilience at the deepest energetic level.

  6. Cortisol Balance & Sleep Rhythm
Assists the body in regulating cortisol levels, easing the effects of stress, and supporting a return to the natural day–night cycle when cortisol blocks melatonin receptors and disrupts sleep.

  7. Metabolism & Sugar Balance
Helps re-establish fat metabolism and, through the Spleen meridian, balances sugar use and reduces cravings.

  8. Enhanced Bioavailability
Liposomal technology ensures significantly higher absorption compared to standard Vitamin C supplements, meaning more benefit with less waste.

Liposomal vs. Ascorbic Acid

Both forms deliver Vitamin C, but how the body absorbs and uses them is very different:

Ascorbic Acid (standard Vitamin C):

  • The most common form, found in tablets, powders, and chewables.

  • Water-soluble and quickly flushed from the body, so large doses are often needed.

  • Can cause digestive upset (loose bowels, bloating) at higher levels.

  • Limited absorption — only a small percentage actually makes it into your cells.

Liposomal Vitamin C:

  • Encapsulated in microscopic fat-like particles (liposomes) that shield the Vitamin C during digestion.

  • Allows for direct absorption into the bloodstream and cells.

  • Much higher bioavailability — more of what you take actually gets used by the body.

  • Gentle on the gut, even at higher doses.

  • Provides steadier, longer-lasting levels of Vitamin C.

In short: ascorbic acid works, but liposomal works smarter — it’s more absorbable, more efficient, and better tolerated, especially if you need therapeutic levels for healing, stress, or detox.

Together they play complementary roles:

  • The water-soluble ascorbic acid helps with the everyday “clean out” of the system, keeping your body flushed and refreshed.

  • The liposomal form goes deeper, getting into cells and tissues to safely release what the body perceives as toxic — whether that’s toxic foods, chemicals, heavy metals, or even toxic emotions and limiting beliefs held in the system.

Fulvic Minerals: Why I love them and How it is Used in Clinic

Teelixir Fulvic Minerals

Fulvic minerals are naturally occurring compounds formed over thousands of years as plant matter breaks down. Unlike synthetic or isolated supplements, they’re a broad-spectrum blend of more than 70 trace minerals, electrolytes, and bioactive compounds.

They support the body at a mineral level—fuelling your cells with the essential building blocks to function at their best, while also helping to eliminate incomplete, toxic, or no-longer-needed elemental compounds through their natural magnetic effect (similar to zeolite).

What makes fulvic minerals unique is that they:

  • Carry an electrical charge that fuels cellular energy

  • Bind to toxins and help the body eliminate them

  • Deliver minerals directly into your cells

  • Help regulate pH and electrical conductivity

Think of them as nature’s electrolyte booster—restoring balance in a world where stress, pollution, and digital overload often leave us depleted.

Fulvic Minerals in Kinesiology

In clinic, I often describe fulvic minerals as a way of “plugging the system back in.” They remind the body it’s both electric and magnetic, helping to stabilise your energetic field so you can hold more clarity, vitality, and resilience.

They often appear in balances when:

  • You’re manifesting or attracting, but old stress patterns are blocking what you truly want to call in.

  • The body needs detox support from heavy metals or environmental toxins—showing up as sensitivity to EMFs, recurring hayfever-like symptoms, or ongoing food intolerances.

  • Your energetic footprint is ready to expand beyond the physical body, asking you to notice: what are you repelling, what do you want to draw in, and are you ready to transmit your frequency outward to start receiving?

In each of these situations, fulvic minerals help clear static, recharge the body, and amplify the shifts made during kinesiology.

How Fulvic Minerals Support the Body

  • Restoring Ionisation Balance
Normalises the body’s electrical potential, improving nutrient flow, detox pathways, and cellular hydration—supporting faster recovery and steadier muscle responses after balances.

  • Supporting Left–Right Brain Integration
Enhances communication between brain hemispheres, boosting focus, learning, and emotional regulation. Particularly beneficial for ADHD and neurological switching.

  • Clearing Brain Fog
Fuels mitochondria with bioavailable electrolytes, lifting sluggish thinking and improving memory and concentration.

  • Grounding & Weather Resilience
Restores minerals lost to stress and helps regulate the nervous system, reducing sensitivity to storms, humidity, and barometric pressure shifts.

  • Assisting Heavy Metal Detoxification
Acts as a natural chelator, binding to toxins like mercury and lead, easing the toxic load that contributes to fatigue, brain fog, and immune issues.

  • Nervous System Regulation & ADHD Support
Calms hyperactivity, balances mood, and improves focus by replenishing minerals and regulating neurotransmitters.

  • Enhancing Overall Vitality
With consistent use, supports digestion, improves nutrient absorption, and amplifies the restorative effects of kinesiology sessions.
